Don't worry about what you write just give us the first one hundred words that pop into your head for that prompt. Interested?
Calling for Judges and prizes as well. Entries will be divided up among the judges and they will put forward the best two from their pile for consideration for the final three spots. If judges wish to enter then their entry will be judged by one of the other Judges to avoid bias.

A Little Prompting?

Short Story Shenanigans - A Little Prompting?Wow. I have to say that the interest in out little competition so far has been brilliant.
However, it has come to my attention that the 'whatever you want to write' angle of the challenge is leaving some a little lost as to where to begin. So here's what we're going to do.
Each Thursday up until the deadline there will be a new journal article with five prompts to peruse at your pleasure. There is no competition in this, I want your gut reactions. Try one, or try all five, just give me the first one hundred words that pop into your head and slam them down in a comment.
The task is one hundred words for each prompt. You don't have to do them all, but if you try your hand at more than one can you please submit individual comments for each one hundred words and include the prompt in brackets at the end. Thank you.
Now if you don't want to use the prompts you don't have to. They have no real relation to the competition, they're just a springboard for any writers who want to

Change in management [IMPORTANT]
Fellow artists,
As of eleven days ago, I have become the Founder and sole administrator of this group. The previous founder has not given me a reason for her sudden departure, but I feel it is safe to assume that she did not want to just delete this group because of her own inability or unwillingness to keep running it. I can absolutely understand this motion.
That leaves me with a group to run and with it a big problem: this group has over 500 members and, even though not all of you are very active, it is mathematically improbable that I can handle running this group alone. In the past few months, submissions have been handled mainly by m
Fifty Word Flash - June Prompt

Looking For Admins
Good Morning!
I've not been around much over the last few months and for that I apologise. I'm in the middle of buying a house, studying for an accounting qualification, writing my novel and working full time and running a blog. With all that going on I haven't been able to spend much time over here at DA.
So I'm looking for members to take over some positions in the group. Really we need:
- 2 poetry admins [ responsible for accepting poetry to the folders. I would like it if they could leave a little comment on each piece as well. I would also like the poetry admins to run a monthly journal post with their top five picks from the months s

- This is open to all, you don't need to be a member of the group to participate, only a member of DA!
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be featured at the end of the month. (As long as I get enough entries to fill those slots.)
- Have fun with the prompt! The more creative the better!
